The listing ceremony was attended by executives and employees including Keiji Ueda of President. I greeted the ceremony with a nervous face.
After receiving the listing notice, we took a commemorative photo in front of the ticker.
In addition, the bell to commemorate the listing was rung five times in hopes of the prosperity of the company following the bountiful harvest of five grains, and the joy of the listing was felt while feeling the afterglow of the sound of the bell with each stroke.
Thoughts from ASNOVA employees who participated in the ceremony
President, Keiji Ueda
"Thanks to all of you, we were able to get listed on the Growth Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, and the ceremony was a very valuable experience for us as we were able to return to our original intentions. I feel that this is the start, and I would like to grow the company with a sense of speed."
Director, Scaffolding Business Unit, General Manager, Akira Morishita
"Compared to when we were listed on the Nagoya Stock Exchange, we were able to participate in this ceremony with many more members, which made me very happy. Since joining the company, one of my goals has been to get listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, so I feel like 'we have finally achieved our first goal!'
Being listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange is both a goal and a new beginning. I want to grow the company into one where all employees can be happier than ever before."
Director, Administration Department, General Manager, Daisuke Kato
"So many emotions flooded my mind, and my eyes welled up with tears. When President Ueda asked me to move forward with the listing project, I felt it was a divine calling, so I accepted and have been working as the person in charge of the listing project on the Nagoya Stock Exchange and then the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
I believe that being listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange is still just a milestone for our company. Looking back at the screening process, there were many difficult moments, and when I think about taking the next step forward in the future, I feel that it will be no easy task to go through that screening process again. However, just as all of our employees have supported our business performance, I would like to motivate myself and continue to improve my human skills so that I can continue to contribute to increasing our corporate value.
Sales Department, Senior Manager, Kazuyuki Takeda
"When I first joined the company, I was surprised to hear that the company was aiming to go public in a short period of time, but now it's just a fond memory. I would be happy if I could help achieve that goal, even if just a little.
The real work has yet to come. We will continue to work hard to achieve even better results."
Sales Department, Tokyo Sales Office, Sales Manager, Shinya Ito
"As I participated in the ceremony, I reflected on the past year and wondered what kind places of tomorrow of contribution my work could make. As the person entrusted with the sales oOffice, I will continue to meet the budget and aim to be a businessperson worthy of a listed company."
Sales Department, Nagoya Sales Office, Sales Manager, Takuma Fukuzawa
"I attended the meeting with my thoughts turning to what President Ueda must have been thinking. Listing has been the company's goal since I joined the company, so I feel extremely emotional that we have been able to achieve this. I would like to continue to lead not only myself but the entire company so as not to be left behind in the company's growth."
Sales Department, Osaka Sales Office, Sales Manager deputy, Takumi Kawai
"I am extremely honored to have been able to witness the moment of our listing. From now on, ASNOVA will be seen as a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. I will work hard and be vigilant so as not to tarnish that reputation."
Sales Department, Osaka Sales Office, Assistant Manager, Akio Fujiwara
"With the listing as a new opportunity, I felt I needed to improve myself and grow into someone who can contribute to the company and society.
In the future, I would like to continue my activities so that all stakeholders can feel the appeal of ASNOVA, and grow as a person worthy of the company."
Equipment Management Department, Senior Manager, Ken Nishiguchi
"When I saw the company name 'ASNOVA' displayed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's electronic bulletin board, I felt a surge of emotion and a sense of reality that we had really gone public. There have been many difficult times, but I feel that the rewards and joys have outweighed these. Even after going public, ASNOVA will continue to aim to be 'anytime, nearby, and safe to rent', and we will continue to forge ahead with the momentum of opening new stores."
Equipment Management Department, Kanto Area 1, Area Manager, Shuhei Fukano
"ASNOVA is a company that has sales office and equipment center all over the country and can interact with many people. We believe that by continuing to be an employee who lives up to the ASNOVA name, we can contribute to society."
Equipment Management Department, Kanto Area 2, Area Manager, Yoshikazu Takiguchi
"I joined the company in 2017, and even back then ASNOVA had been aiming to get listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. I am very happy to be there to witness this moment when it actually gets achieved.
Just because we are listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, I don't think this is the goal. We will not be satisfied with the status quo and will continue to push forward with our daily work until we become 'scaffolding speaking of ASNOVA.'"
Equipment Management Department, Chubu Area, Area Manager, Hirotsugu Uchida
"I suppressed my excitement and attended the ceremony with a composed attitude. It felt like I had been given a wonderful Christmas present. However, I don't think that we did anything special in preparation for the IPO. We just worked diligently, earnestly and positively on our daily tasks. We overcame all the difficulties and hardships and turned them into opportunities.
Our enthusiasm doesn't stop there. With the time we are all given equally, we will think about how we can set ourselves apart from others, take immediate action, and continue to challenge our beliefs.
STATION Division, Senior Manager, Hiroki Nakamura
"I realized how different the mindset is between working for a listed company and working for a company that aims to become a listed company. Going forward, I would like to overcome these hurdles while being aware that the market and society are watching us with even more critical eyes and expectations."
STATION Division, Section Manager, Akihiro Oyama
"Listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange is an opportunity to significantly raise the company's status and I am proud to be part of such a company.
I am currently working in the Station Business Division, but I requested the transfer of my own volition. I feel a different kind of fulfillment in the work of building and implementing a business from scratch. I will continue to polish ASNOVA's reputation through my daily work so that one day ASNOVA will become a company known outside the construction industry.
E-commerce Department, Senior Manager, Hiroshi Kinoshita
"It was a ceremony that made me strongly realize that we have been listed, and although we have been working with the goal of going public, this is just a new start. I think E-commerce Department will also play an important role, so I will work on it as the person in charge of the new business so that I can contribute even more."
General Affairs Department, Senior Manager, Shunsuke Takeuchi
"When I was first looking for a new job, the first place I interviewed was with ASNOVA. I really wanted to join the company, and I'll never forget how excited I was when I received the news that I'd been accepted. There was a long waiting period before I could join the company, and I was confused at times by differences in corporate culture, but looking back now, I feel that all of those experiences have shaped who I am today.
General Affairs Department wants to be behind you at all times. I want to be on standby when I don't need it, and I want to be able to push it when I need it. I want to be a team that can say out loud, 'Leave it to me!'"
Corporate Planning Office, Senior Manager, Makoto Ono
"I believe that scaffolding is indispensable in the world. I felt a strong sense of mission that listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange the year after the listing on the name stock exchange was an indication that the scaffolding rental service is needed by society.
That's why we want more people to know that scaffolding Rental is an important infrastructure service to solve social issues, and to support ASNOVA. Going forward, we will continue to develop many businesses that address social issues and contribute as a member of a company that continues to be needed by society."
We were able to see the passion of ASNOVA employees, which could not be fully conveyed in an interview.
Listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was one of ASNOVA's goals, but it is now just a milestone.
We will continue to conduct business activities to increase corporate value so that we can continue to bring smiles to the faces of all our stakeholders.
