Due to changes in the global environment, the number and damage caused by natural disasters in Japan has been increasing for the past few decades. Although there are fluctuations every year, the amount of damage and the number of disasters are gradually increasing, and even when inflation is taken into account, there is no doubt that the amount of damage is on the rise. Due to the collapse of houses caused by the increase in natural disasters, household expenditures have increased, and roof repair costs have been added to the 2020 Consumer Price Index. The increase in natural disasters has become a social issue.

Issue 2: Increase in aging apartment buildings

The increase in aging apartment buildings has become a problem in recent times. It is predicted that the stock of condominiums built 30 years or more will increase to about 2.4 times the current number in about 20 years. Aging apartment buildings have problems that affect life and property, such as deterioration of the exterior walls in the shared areas, exposed and corroded rebar, and aging water supply and drainage pipes. These aging apartment buildings are repaired every 12 years based on a long-term repair plan, so the renovation market is expected to expand.

Currently, any renovations that involve privately occupied areas such as living quarters require the consent of "all owners." In order to make it easier to carry out large-scale renovations of aging apartment buildings from fiscal 2024, the government is considering changing the requirement to "four-fifths" or "three-quarters." If this happens, it is expected that the renovation market will expand even further in the future.

Issue 3: Deterioration of detached houses

In recent years, the number of new housing starts has been on a downward trend due to a decrease in the number of households moving and the increase in the average age of homes. However, the market size for home renovations is predicted to remain strong due to increased interest in housing due to people refraining from going out and the spread of teleworking, as well as increased interest in used homes due to government support.

ASNOVA STATION's services lend trademarks, know-how, and scaffolding equipment to our partners. The profit structure of the partner company is to rent equipment to the construction company and receive a rental fee from the construction company. ASNOVA's revenue structure is that the rental fee is charged from the partner company only when the rental occurs between the partner company and the construction company. In addition, we have a system that receives a monthly support fee from partner companies.
