Business and human resources that connect ASNOVA to the future

In order for ASNOVA to continue to be needed in the world in the future, we believe that it is of utmost importance to continue to create socially meaningful value through our business, and we are always aware of changing and evolving with the times.
In addition, with the resolution of social issues in mind, we have set a branding goal of "scaffolding Speaking of ASNOVA" and are conducting marketing activities related to existing and new businesses on a daily basis.
This time, we interviewed Mr. Kimiaki Ishibe, the representative of the consulting company M-Navi, and Ms. Nozaki Corporate Planning Office, who joined the company in May 2022, about what kind of organization ASNOVA is, their thoughts on branding and marketing activities, and more.

ASNOVA's branding goal

Please tell us briefly about your career history.

After graduating from university, I worked in marketing for around 20 years at foreign-affiliated daily necessities manufacturers and retailers.

With the belief that "you can grow more by properly understanding and practicing marketing," I started my own hands-on marketing consulting company, Mnavi, 7 years ago. I first met ASNOVA about 2 years ago and have been supporting them ever since.

 

Please tell us briefly about your career history.

I previously worked at a travel agency and joined the company in May 2022. I am currently involved in a project for a new business, ASNOVA STATION, and a matching service.

Now that ASNOVA STATION has started its service, I am involved in providing support for webinars and system operations, as well as creating terms of use and designing the matching service in preparation for its upcoming launch.

I decided to join the company because I was attracted to the company culture of starting new businesses and giving a lot of discretion in work.

Please tell us what you think about the branding of "scaffolding Speaking of ASNOVA" and if there is a common understanding with ASNOVA members.

Ishibe: I have in mind our purpose of "creating places of tomorrow in society through the power of 'Kasetsu.'" This is the core part that ASNOVA values the most, and it is a common understanding of the team, so we are always aware of it.

Nozaki: We often talk about purpose within the company. It really is the core of the company.

What are your goals in supporting ASNOVA?

Ishibe:There are two.Oneis thateach member has their own goals, so of course I'm conscious of each member achieving their goals. The otheristo get the team in a "capable state." Since we have a lot of young members, I adjust the speed and content while watching their expressions.

Nozaki: My goal is to be involved in helping to accelerate the launch of a new business.

What kind of company do you think ASNOVA is?

Ishibe: I feel that it is a company that is able to take on any challenge and operates at a very fast pace.

Because all of our employees are driven by purpose, I feel that we are able to move forward with both existing and new businesses at a rapid pace, and I am confident that each business will continue to grow rapidly in the future, making us an even stronger company.

Given the fast pace of the company, did you ever feel any gaps after joining the company?

 Nozaki: I was surprised that so few people are working on so many projects. Rather than focusing on oneproject, each member is involved in at least some of them, so if you don't understand each project, you won't be able to keep up, so we check with those around us as we go along. I find it interesting that everyone works together to make it happen.

Are there any points you keep in mind when carrying out branding activities?

Ishibe: In aiming for the branding of" scaffolding Speaking of ASNOVA," I think it is very important to convey our thoughts rather than just expanding awareness.

I think it's important for new businesses to have marketing activities that can properly convey the thoughts behind them. For instance ASNOVA STATION So, we would provide a scaffolding rental service in areas where scaffolding is not well served, which would lead to regional revitalization. If it's a matching serviceThrough the use of people outside the construction industry With the aim of expanding the use of scaffolding, the expansion of the scaffolding market area and the increase in construction projects will lead to the revitalization of the scaffolding industry.

ASNOVAhas a strong vision when designing new businesses, so it is important to communicate that vision clearly to the outside world. We also believe that if that vision is consistent within the company, it will lead to stronger branding.

 
Nozaki: I still have many challenges ahead of me, but there is a limit to what I can do on my own, so I think it is important to have the ability to involve other departments and people outside the company. By interacting with people from other departments, you can empathize with them and make new discoveries.

 
Ishibe: Yes, that's right. We are taking our time to make progress on that point in particular.

ASNOVA's growth and characteristics

Do you feel that ASNOVA has grown through your activities?

 

Ishibe: As we move forward with the project, I feel the members are growing as they become more capable, but I think I'll feel this even more when the general public starts hearing the word ASNOVA.

 

Nozaki: It's not something I can say for myself yet, but when I first joined the company I didn't even understand basic terminology, but gradually I began to understand and have questions. I think you can feel the growth of new businesses once they are released into the world.

 

ASNOVA STATION was launched in October of this year and we have been holding online information sessions and other events, with multiple people participating each time, so I think the message is reaching people effectively.

What changes have occurred at ASNOVA since you first started consulting?

Ishibe: I think the speed at which we can create new businesses has increased significantly.

We have been able to assemble personnel at an unprecedented speed, and I have also noticed how quickly we can make decisions and build an organization. I think the speed at which we can move forward with projects has increased dramatically.

What kind of company do you think ASNOVA is?

Ishibe: Just looking at our purpose, we have a very strong core as a company.

He is steadily growing while taking on new challenges, and I have an impression that he will continue to grow from now on because of the quick decision-making and speed I mentioned earlier. Even if he makes a mistake, he can correct it as he goes along, so it's a pleasure working with him.

Nozaki: Even within the company, I can feel the speed, and I get the sense that we are working on so many different things at the same time. There will be successes and failures, but we can use them to our advantage next time, so although it's unfortunate that I can't disclose the details yet, I think the company will continue to grow.

 

Ishibe: Also, they value people. I feel that they put a lot of effort into developing human resources by providing opportunities for young people to take on new challenges, and through recurrent and liberal arts programs. A company that values its people will grow, and above all, I think the motivation of its employees is very high.

 

Nozaki: Yes, I think it's expensive when I look around.

 

Ishibe: Even in practical matters, highly motivated employees will provide constructive feedback and will be a major driving force for growth.

Please tell us if there are any unique features of ASNOVA that you offer while consulting.

Ishibe: I think it's the company culture, but everyone is very positive. They're always positive, so it's a pleasure to work with them. If even one person has a negative opinion, we have to change the way we support them, but everyone is very proactive and participates in that, so it's a big help.

In your branding and marketing, in what ways do you think ASNOVA's unique style comes out?

Ishibe: YesIt's all about purpose. The fact that everyone is thinking with purpose as the axis means that new businesses have a solid core, which I think makes them strong.

Nozaki: Certainly, purpose comes up in various aspects of the company. We've even held purpose workshops, so we're very conscious of it as a company.

The thoughts of the employees who support ASNOVA

You have no experience and have only been put in charge of various projects six months after joining the company. How does that feel?

 

Nozaki:To be honest, there is a lot of pressure (laughs).

Six months after joining the company, I felt like, "This decision is mine, and I have to think about this too." I'm moving forward with some anxiety, consulting with those around me.

To be honest, when I first joined the company, I wondered, "Can I be entrusted with this much work when I have no experience?" I still have that struggle between anxiety and the fact that it's okay to do it (laughs).

That's why we can't move forward unless we propose our own opinions and ideas, so I want to keep moving forward even if we make mistakes!

In my previous job, I arranged and sold existing products according to customer requests, and planned and offered travel itineraries, but now I create things that society wants from scratch, so I work on projects.1I realize that this is very difficult.
Especially recently, I have come to feel on a daily basis that the things that are all around us in the world must have succeeded through hardships that are beyond our imagination.

Until now I hadn't really paid much attention to websites, but now I've started to notice things like that and think they must have paid attention to them when making them.

 

What do you think about the ASNOVA team?

Ishibe: The speed of growth is certainly fast.

I think of my role as a rocket booster to get you into orbit.

In the case of ASNOVA, we are working on various new businesses in parallel, so I need to change the type of booster each time. Although I am in a position to support them, I am also learning and growing as a person.

In particular, Nozaki-san is currently working on a major project, so I can really sense that he is struggling but also growing.

ASNOVA's efforts are not limited to the growth of the company, but are also leading to changing and revitalizing the image of the entire industry, such as owned media and new businesses related to scaffolding. It is a great honor to be able to support you as we develop our business as a leading company in the industry.

I hope we can continue to grow together.


Nozaki: I will also study hard so that I can take on initiatives that will contribute to the growth of the company!
